RIGGING RECOMMENDATIONS

The 60” 5oz Texas Rig is the new standard for puddle ducks in the Midwest where lakes and hunting conditions tend to be slightly deeper and variable. The 5oz weight allows for extra hold in sandy bottoms and increased wind. The 60” is versatile, allowing for up to 5ft of use, while not being too long for shallow water hunting.

The 5oz bank sinker is the standard for decoys 14-17” in moderate current (Most oversized mallard decoys, black duck decoys, divers).

GrindFest uses 60” 5oz on all oversized puddle duck decoys as well as smaller diver decoys. Hunting sheet water to moderate sized lakes and river backwater.
